AIR QUALITY & IT'S EFFECTS ON US, OUR ENVIRONMENT & OUR GARDENS

by Hannah Kolni, Outreach Coordinator for the City of Dallas

Office of Environmental Quality.

To make our air cleaner for human health and the environment, we need every Dallas residents’ help. Learn what you can do to make a positive difference for air quality so we can all breathe easy! The City of Dallas’ Green Dallas initiative is aimed at environmental responsibility and the City of Dallas is working hard to improve regional air quality by purchasing more renewable green power than almost any other city in the United States, boasting the largest clean vehicle fleet of any city in Texas and one of the largest in the nation, and becoming the first city in the nation chosen as a pilot city for the EPA’s Sustainable Skylines Initiative aimed at improving air quality.  To find out more about how the City of Dallas is an environmental leader and what residents can do to ‘build a greener Dallas,’ visit the City’s green Web site www.GreenDallas.net.
